Bio
Born and raised in the greater Edmonton area, Chanice obtained her Bachelors of Professional Communication from MacEwan University, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. In law school, Chanice volunteered with the Student Legal Services’ Criminal and Civil divisions, and was co-chair of the law student’s Mental Health and Wellness Committee.
Post-law school, Chanice articled and practiced at a downtown firm where she gained experience in family law, employment law, and wills and estates. During her articles and practice, Chanice has successfully represented clients at the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench.
At Lypkie Henderson, she works in various areas of law, including wills and estates, employment, real estate, and adult guardianship and trusteeship. While Chanice does not shy away from litigation when necessary, she knows there are often times more cost-effective and collaborative methods to efficiently resolve her client’s legal issues. She enjoys working closely with her clients to tailor practical solutions to meet their unique needs.
Outside of work, Chanice enjoys exercising, writing, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and two cats.
